Fordítás megtekintéseAlessi - Alessandro Mendini, Arthur Arbesser - Dugóhúzó - Alessandro M. "Parádé - Különkiadás" - Hőre lágyuló gyanta és krómozott zamac
Nr. 90557151
Alessi’s Alessandro M. corkscrew, designed by Alessandro Mendini, brings functionality and charm together in a playful, characterful accessory. Crafted as a self-portrait, this smiling figure wears a bowler hat and colorful attire, making each use a cheerful experience. Released in 2003, Alessandro M. was designed as a whimsical companion to the Anna G. corkscrew Mendini’s 1990s classic. Since its debut, Alessandro M. has become an icon of high-end Italian design, beloved for its anthropomorphic elements that cleverly evoke a man through its minimalistic yet evocative plastic and metallic features.
The offered Alessandro M. is a reinterpretation done by Arthur Arbesser that brings a fresh and expressive twist to the beloved design. Inspired by Vienna’s art and architectural heritage, Arbesser infuses the corkscrew's "clothing" with his signature style, defined by clean lines and unique color contrasts. This vibrant new design merges the worlds of fashion and industrial design, transforming the corkscrew into a visually captivating object. Emphasizing surface detail over form, Arbesser employs geometric patterns and graphic effects reminiscent of his fashion collections, inviting users into a “parade” of color and print that elevates the familiar Alessi piece into an engaging work of functional art.
To use the corkscrew, place Alessandro M. on the bottle neck, turning its head clockwise to drive the screw into the cork, then continue turning until the cork is fully extracted. The cork can be released with a counter-clockwise turn of the head, adding to the corkscrew's endearing charm as it "interacts" with the user.
This Alessandro M. is in a new and unused condition. Delivered with original packaging and documents.
This special-edition corkscrew was produced in a smaller batch.
Dimensions: Ø 6 cm. x 21 cm.
Designers:
Alessandro Mendini (1931 - 2019), the visionary behind this masterpiece, was a true luminary in the design world. Not surprisingly Mendini worked with many famous design brands like Artemide, Kartell and Magis. His architectural background and editorial contributions shaped the landscape of Italian, postmodern, and radical design, injecting new "values" and "sensibilities" that challenged the dominance of commercialism and functionalism. Recognized with prestigious international awards, including the Compasso d'Oro and the European Prize for Architecture, Mendini's impact on the design industry is immeasurable, and his legacy continues to inspire and push boundaries.
Born in Vienna, Arthur Arbesser was deeply immersed in the city’s history and culture as he grew up. After graduating from London’s Central Saint Martins College he moved to Milan to work for a leading fashion house for several years. Subsequent to launching his label and being a finalist of the 2015 LVMH prize, he quickly became recognized for his graphic aesthetics and personal design language. Aside from his namesake label, Arbesser is a creative consultant and also works on numerous collaborations from furniture to product design. Costume design for ballet and opera complete his creative world.
