【Product details】

This Edo period kusari katabira, or chainmail armor, was favored by samurai and ninja from the Muromachi to the Sengoku periods. It was commonly worn under armor for additional protection. During the Edo period, chainmail armor was also used in small-scale skirmishes or for law enforcement in urban settings.

The flat measurements are approximately 67 cm in length and 57 cm in chest width.

There are signs of aging, including scuffs, stains, small holes, tears, fraying threads, and rust. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of the condition.

This rare piece offers collectors and enthusiasts a chance to own a genuine example of historical Japanese armor. Its versatility and historical significance make it a valuable addition to any collection of feudal Japanese militaria.
