A black stone seal bead talisman with a horse and inscription carving from the ancient Mesopotamian culture.

First Millennium AD.

In good condition. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, boring and grinding. It has been cleaned but the nice ancient patina is preserved. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular. Traces of use and age on its surface.

Purchased in 1995 Strasbourg on the local art market by Dr. Zelnik.
