Chinese porcelain rose water sprinkler – China- Kangxi period
On offer is a Chinese porcelain rose water sprinkler vase with a long thin neck. Detailed decoration all around with flowering branches, such as peony flowers. Decorated in the Imari style. At the time, hygiene was at a clearly lower level. Such vases were filled with rose water, with the intention of sprinkling it over the body, to obtain a more pleasant scent. Provenance: From our own private collection.
Date: Kangxi period 1662-1722, ca. 1720.
Size: Measures ca. 20cm in height. Belly measures ca. 9cm across.
Condition: In very good condition! Only a small shallow chip and some usual glaze fritting/loss at the footrim and spout edge. Further no damage!
Will be packed very well and shipped with registered track/trace with insurance. Combined shipping possible, we return postage costs.
