Weighing 108 grams, this tsuba is made of iron and features intricate gold and silver inlay, adding a touch of elegance and luxury to the piece. Though unsigned, its craftsmanship speaks volumes of the skill and dedication of its maker. On the front side of the tsuba, a full moon emerges from behind the clouds at the top, casting a serene glow over the scene below. At the bottom, a lantern stands under a pine tree, accompanied by grasses, symbolizing longevity, resilience, and enlightenment. The reverse side depicts a series of mountains at the top, symbolizing strength and stability, with grasses at the bottom, adding to the natural beauty of the design. Despite the passage of time, which has resulted in some scuffs, inlay loss, and rust, this tsuba remains a beautiful and valuable artifact.
