Two attractive volumes from the poetical works of Parny. Volumes three and four of the complete works. Full green leather with attractive gilt and titles. The front board of each volume show that these books belonged to the library of the French playwright A. GONDEVILLE DE MONT RICHE. Binding is in very good condition, with all edges gilt, and just a little rubbing and bumping to the corners. The spines, with burgundy and gilt labels have faded a little, giving a more brown appearence. Attractive dentelles to the inside boards. The contents are clean and tidy with a slight darkening to them. Volume 3: "Paradis Perdu," "La voyage du Céline," "Isnel et Asléga," "Les Galanteries de la Bible." 258 pages. Volume 4: "Les Rosecroix. Poeme en douze chants". 228 pages. The foxing is heavier in this volume.
