High-altitude compensating suit VKK-6M - For life support of the pilot during flights at altitudes up to 40 km.
Consists of: anti-overload device (AUD), tension device (NU) and abdominal compensator. The PPU consists of two leg and one abdominal rubber chambers connected by adapters. NU is a rubber chamber consisting of two parts connected by a jumper. When flying in a depressurized cabin (at an altitude of more than 12 km), oxygen is supplied to the NU chambers to mechanically compress the body. Compression compensates for excess pressure in the lungs.
Basic technical data: Provides overload tolerance - up to 10 units. Maximum operating pressure in the chambers of the anti-overload device - 1.6 kgf/cm2 The maximum operating pressure in the tension device chambers is 2 kgf/cm2. The suit operates at ambient temperatures from +50 to -50°C. When flying at altitudes above 14 km, it is used in conjunction with the GSh-6 pressure helmet, PK-1 compensating gloves and KN compensating socks -4
The operating time in a depressurized cabin at an altitude of 14 km is at least 4 minutes, using a pressure helmet.
Can be used in conjunction with VK-3M
Suit weight: from 3.2 to 3.6 kg. depending on size.
