Sub-Minature Spy Camera--KUNIK PETIE VANITY COMPACT, with f9 25mm Roschlein Kreuznach Lens. A rare small format camera housed in a make-up compact, in mint condition.
Supplied by Walter KUNIK K.G., Frankfurt, around 1956. Believed to be made by Kreher & Beyer, Offenbach, West Germany. Kigu, a British company making powder compacts are believed to have been involved also.

The front door opens to reveal a mirror and powder One top knob houses lipstick, and the other storage for an extra roll of film.
The Art-Deco case is in a red marbelized finish with chrome coloured metalwork. It is beautifully made, and feels good in the hand.
The shutter works, although it is a very simple system. It takes 16 exposures of 14 x14 mm.
Measurements-112mm x 63mm x30mm.

Magnifique appareil! fonctionne à toutes les vitesses réglage de la distance un peu dur au début mais tout est rentré dans l'ordre. je vais l'essayer rapidement avec un film.

Thank you John for your feedback. If you decide to use it, you will not be disappointed . I used one in the 1980's with colour slide film, and I thought the results, .. sharpness/ contrast and colour were equivalent to the results from modern medium format cameras of that period.
