We are faced with one of the great classic wines in history. Château Latour is located in the heart of the Médoc, about 50 kilometers northwest of Bordeaux, in a privileged terroir and a few meters from the estuary of the Gironde River. This enclave has given the vineyard its well-known geological and climatic richness. In its blend you can taste depth, elegance and silkiness elevated to its maximum expression. Without a doubt, a reference that transcends the plane of organolepsy to become a unique experience.

Most of the vines are planted on top of the hills, at an altitude of between 12 and 16 meters above the estuary. The combination of layers of gravel on the surface and clay in the subsoil mean that older strains develop particularly deep systems. This presence of lower layers of clay provides a minimum level of water even in the driest years. For the opposite cases of excessive rain, a drainage system was created in the 19th century that allows water to be removed in cases where the quality of the grapes is compromised.

Harvests usually begin in the second half of September and often last beyond mid-October, depending on the optimal ripening time. The bunches are cut and sorted by hand into small 8 kilogram boxes to prevent the grapes from being crushed by their own weight.
