Extremely rare Montblanc 1/1 Limited edition Max Reinhard "2005 Young Directors Award" Fountain pen. Especially created as a first prize for the 2005 Salzburg Festival "Young Directors Award". The film festival is sponsored by Montblanc and as part of their involvement they create a unique pen each year. This pen is being offered by the director who won the 2005 edition of the Salzburg Festival. Crafted from solid gold with a unique, hand painted Meissen porcelain and barrel and cap. The artwork shows images of theatre masks from the "Commedia dell Arte" on the the barrel, while the cap reproduces a theatre scene where a character Arrlechino is taking off the mask while seducing a lady. The Montlanc logo is inlaid in mother-of-pearl. 5 3/8" (13.7 cm). Medium 18 K gold nib with engraving of Hohensalzburg fortress. Complete with lacquered wood presentation box.
