DESCRIPTION
Adega Cooperativa de Murça, CRL, founded in 1963 by a small group of winegrowers led by Francisco Abel Carneiro Lopes, has its headquarters in Vila de Murça. Integrated in the Douro Demarcated Region, today with 750 cooperators, its emblem is the well-known Porca de Murça, carved into a granite monolith, which reproduces a breeding male. It is a symbol of the region's fecundity and also of the belief and strength of the men who have cultivated vineyards there for thousands of years.
It produces wines with Douro Controlled Denomination of Origin under the brand “Caves de Murça”. The 800 hectares of vineyards, based on schist and quartzite soils protected to the west from the humid and temperate winds of the Atlantic and to the north of the cold and dry winds of Galicia, enjoy a Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, not too hot winters. rainy. These factors, influential in the typicality of the wines, combined with the strong commitment of winegrowers have consolidated the image of the municipality of Murça as a region producing great wines.

VINIFICATION
Vintage Port, from a single harvest, produced in exceptional harvest years. It is bottled in the second year and ages in the bottle for many decades.

TASTING NOTES
It is a dark red-colored wine, with deep aromas of black ripe fruits. In the mouth it is full-bodied, but elegant with a very long taste.

SERVING
Enjoy by itself or at the end of a meal with desserts and nuts. Serve at a temperature between 14ºC and 15ºC. Consume in moderation.
