A fine wooden icon with gilt brass oklad (worn), measuring circa 27 x 22.3cm and weighing 728g, hand painted to depict Our Lady of Kazan, a representation of Mary holding the infant Jesus, as protectress and patroness of the city of Kazan.
Lined to the reverse with velvet. Estimated age: Late 19th to early 20th century.
Condition: Very good, no significant damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age.
