Beautiful pair of early 20th century Royal Crown Derby porcelain serving dishes. Round shell-shaped bodies with fluted edges, decorative moulding and looping scroll handles. White ground with cobalt blue borders and sumptuous gilding. The bowls are hand-painted with floral garlands and bouquets in vivid polychrome enamelling of pink, yellow and blue hues. Perfect size to serve butter, scallops or caviar. Maker: Royal Crown Derby Origin: England Date: c. 1910s (backstamp in use between 1891 – 1921) Pattern: 4998 366 g 3.5 cm tall to rim 6.5 cm tall to handle 15 cm diameter Excellent antique condition.
