Gilded silver and enamel caddy from China, of fine quality, in the middle of the 20th century.
High quality caddy, made of solid silver and gold plated, filigree, with hexagonal design, lobed, with finely applied enamel, turquoise cabochon decoration. The lobed removable lid was poked centrally with a turquoise cabochon.
The filigree with lobed design works with the gilded silver body, with a beautifully executed high colored enamel work, with flying birds and leafy trees. On the lid set with turquoise cabochon.
The interior with a very polished gold finish.
Produced in the well-respected silver style of the Canton, Cutshing, which was famous for creating enameled filigree items and jewelry in the 19th century for European royal households, the Russian imperial court, the Arab sultanates and the palaces of Indian Maharajahs.
Impressed stamped base "SILVER" and has been tested to contain 900-950% silver purity.

In superb original condition, without damage, loss or repair, in original box and purchase documents dated: 04.01.1981.
