Seiko automatic chronograph 6139-6002 with double calendar functions. The 6139-6002 is famous for been the first automatic chronograph in space when Colonel William Pogue took  his on the 1973 Skylab 4 mission. This watch is in very good condition with its after market bracelet.

The Seiko chronograph 6139 6002,  was the first automatic chronograph used in the space, on a space mission in November 1973 by the coronel William R. POGUE, and in that reason this watch become an iconic watch, well appreciated by collectors. The watch used by the coronel William Pogue was a Seiko 6139 6002 similar to this, but with golden dial. This watch has been made in the 1970s, exactly on October 1977. 

Functions: Hour, minutes, 1/5 seconds divisions, day and date, 30 minute recorder, inner revolving bezel, external tachometric scale, automatic, water resistant.

Dial: The dial and inneer ring are after market, Orange dial in excellent condition, Dial is "SEIKO", "Chronograph", "Automatic",  "Japan 6139",  "-6030T" marked. Day date at 3 arabic/english languages for days), quick setting for days and  dates by pushing two steps the crown at 3. yellow inner revolving bezel through the crown, it has special scale number for diving decompression time control purposes.

MOVEMENT: Authentic Seiko Pogue chronograph movement, it is a mechanical movement with an automatic winding system. Movement is "Seiko", "seventeen 17 jewels", "Japan", "6139" marked.

STRAP:  Authentic Seiko Pogue 6138 6002 after market bracelet. folding clasp, it is : "SEIKO" marked on external side,
