Cream

Cream, the iconic British rock band formed in 1966, had a significant impact on the development of rock and blues music.
Comprised of Eric Clapton (guitar/vocals), Jack Bruce (bass/vocals), and Ginger Baker (drums), they pioneered the power trio format and fused blues, jazz, and psychedelic rock.

Cream’s legacy is seen in their role in shaping the development of the power trio format, inspiring countless rock musicians, and their improvisational approach influenced genres like hard rock and progressive rock. They are considered one of the earliest "supergroups," and their innovations in live performance and extended soloing would pave the way for the jam band movement as well.
