Very large, extremely dark and wildly bizarre original page by 'Wilbur H. Duquesnoy' (Thierry Bouüaert) and Alain Mauricet | Signed and dated 1994

Alain and Thierry have worked together on occasions such as 'Il était une fois greenpeace' (Spirou, 1991) and Alain did the coloring for the Edmund Bell pages drawn by Thierry.
They had a connection so the reason why John & Franny remained unpublished is unclear to me ... but maybe it can be found in the dossier "John et Franny" by Tony Lariviere for 'L'INEDIT' (See photos)

Size : 42 x 62 cm (2 sheets)
Media: pencil and ink on 2 sheets of drawing paper
Condition: Very good condition

Thierry Bouüaert is a Belgian comics artist, born in Uccle in 1964.
He became known in Spirou magazine under the pseudonym W.H. Duquesnoy (from 1989) where he regularly drew illustrations and short stories. Le train fantôme, an adventure by Edmund Bell, was his first album publication (1993)

Alain Mauricet made his debut in Spirou in 1988 where he worked until 1997
'Les Rastafioles' (with Salma) and 'Cosmic Patrouille', a parody of superheroes like the X-Men, Spider-man and Batman.
After 6 albums of 'Mort de Trouille' for Casterman he started drawing for the comics market such as Batman illustrations, pages for 'Adventures of Superman', a Tale of Tellos (Image), The Crossovers (CrossGen)
More recent DC publications inlude ;
Harley Quinn Holiday Special
Harley's Little Black Book #2
Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys
Robin War #1
