Rum from the Windward Islands of the Caribbean, Distillerie Reimonenq, Ste Rose, Marie-Galante

“Grand Gold Medal” at the Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition, held in Barcelona in February 2024.
“Grand Gold Medal” at the International Wine & Spirits Awards Competition held in Barcelona in July 2024.

ORIGIN: Rum from the Windward Islands of the Caribbean. Reimonenq Distillery - Sainte Rose - Guadeloupe. Made from pure fresh sugar cane juice.

TRACEABILITY: This vintage comes from lot 59/22 selected by Chantal Comte in the Chais Saint Eloi 88. Blend of rums aged in wood from the Atlantic, Marteray and Cavin cooperages (Aphrodite barrels: fine grains). From this vintage, 2071 bottles were produced, screen-printed for Chantal Comte.
Bottled in October 2023 (Lot R231006).

HISTORY: The vintage “L’Or des Caribbean” and “La Tour de l’Or”, as rare as they are unpredictable, represent, in the Chantal Comte Rum Collection, the most prestigious vintages. Their number is limited and Chantal Comte selects them, with her traditional high standards, for their exceptional qualities. Like their aging, their bottling requires extreme attention to detail.
AGEING: Dominique Honoré, President of Chais Saint Éloi 88, has absolute standards in the selection of his barrels. He works with the best coopers and each origin of his barrels contributes to enrich and magnify the rums entrusted to him. Here, barrels from Atlantic, Marteray and Cavin (Aphrodite barrels: a must!) have, for eighteen months, played their part with finesse, character and elegance!
