Beautiful and large(762g) antique padlock with fascinating secret opening mechanism. A rare one-of-a-kind item from the past!
The padlock is in great condition. It is very well preserved, has a beautiful patina, and the mechanism works perfectly. The padlock has an unique opening mechanism. One key is used in two different ways:

1. Use the key as a lever to pull out the latch.
(When the latch is inside, it prevents the shackle from opening)
2. Turn the silver knob on the side of the padlock 90 degrees counterclockwise...
3. ...to open the keyhole door at the opposite end.
4. Screw the key in fully in a clockwise manner to open the padlock.
