The order is made of sterling silver and gold and blue enamel, ribbon made of silk.
This is a very rare fifth version. It differs from the regular version in that the fastening with a ribbon, short rays and a ring in the middle are made of gold. The regular version doesn't have this. Very few orders like this have been produced, in the last photo you can see the difference (for information only)
The general opinion is that the design is based on the motif of the mirror at Ise Shrine.
It is awarded to those who have served the nation.
Unlike the Order of the Rising Sun, the Order of the Sacred Treasure is an order that focuses on the accumulation of meritorious service.
It is awarded to those who have served the nation for many years
