Yamazaki is the pioneer of single malt Japanese whisky, born in Japan's first and oldest malt distillery. The Yamazaki Limited Edition 2014 has garnered several prestigious awards since its release. Notably, it won a Gold Medal at the 2007 International Spirits Challenge and a Double Gold Medal at the 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (Japanese Whisky) (dekantā). This limited edition whisky, blended by Suntory's master blender Shinji Fukuyo, is celebrated for its quality and complexity, which includes a mix of young and aged single malts matured in various cask types.
