Horloge lanterne - Franz Hermle - Vintage Laiton - 1960-1970

Vintage brass English style lantern clock. Made in the 1978 with a German Hermle movement. Complete with 2 brass cylinder weights and brass pendulum, and a separate iron console. Clock is all brass and has been maintained and cleaned several times.

The name Roby Evens Halfstead on the dial. This is chain driven via 2 weights, just pull the chains and the weights rise and then gravity will do the rest.

Movement is made by Franz Hermle movement 241-070. This Hermle series is a compact chain driven, two weight movement. This unit runs eight days on a single wind up and comes as a pendulum movement. The 241-070 was a popular unit for many years.
