I was a young photo reporter, working for Stern magazine in Germany, and the editors had assigned me to ‘stick to the guy and follow him around as long as you can’.Thomas Hoepker is one of the best photographers of the 20th as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Philippe Halsman, Helmut Newton, Robert Mapplethorpe, Elliott Erwitt, Annie Leibovitz or Robert Capa, he was considered an icon of 20th century culture like Andy Warhol, Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons or Banksy.
