Distilled by Buffalo Trace, a distillery located in Frankfort, Kentucky, this 12-year-old is made from wheat, instead of rye, hence its name Wheated Bourbon. The range pays homage to William Larue Weller, pioneer of Bourbon, who, in 1849, created the W.L. Weller and Sons distillery and was soon recognized for his wheat bourbons, with aromas and a smoother texture than rye bourbons. Aging for 12 years in new American oak barrels brings vanilla notes to this beautiful bronze-coloured bourbon. Added aromas of caramel, cinnamon. The palate is also marked by vanilla, which combines with aromas of leather, exotic fruits and mint, in an elegant and slightly suave whole. The long finish stretches into a woody note. A very convincing bourbon, often awarded in American and international competitions.
