This exhibition is a follow-up to the "Great Ukiyo-e Exhibition" held in 2014, which attracted approximately 380,000 visitors. This year's exhibition focuses on five of the most popular Ukiyo-e artists, Utamaro Kitagawa, Sharaku Toshusai, Hokusai Katsushika, Hiroshige Utagawa, and Kuniyoshi Utagawa, and brings together 366 rare masterpieces from museums in Japan, Europe, and the United States. It is a rare opportunity to see all these works in one place. Utamaro's paintings of beautiful women, Sharaku's paintings of actors, Hokusai and Hiroshige's landscapes, and Kuniyoshi's heroic warrior paintings and witty caricatures - the essence of each artist has been condensed into a gorgeous collection that "everyone knows and everyone wants to see.
