Absolutely beautiful four images of Walhalla Memorial in Donaustaf (Regensburg, Germany) by important and celebrated 19th Century German photographer Georg Böttger (1821 - 1901). Two images of the outside (distant and close), one interior image and one panorama over the Danube image. all mounted on their original thick card. Each signed with photographer's official embossed stamp on image, lower left corner. All with extensive old inscriptions in ink and pencil on card - on front: title, location (Ratisbon is a former British name of Regensburg), artist, information on building (architect, construction year); on reverse: title and collection numbers. Exceptionally good condition each, strong and crisp images, with high sharpness of details. Faults on right side of "Walhalla and the Danube" are original to the negative, not from the print. Dimensions each: 30 x 22 cm. Card on "Walhalla I" with evident faults on upper right corner, but overall cards preserved in very good condition, occasional smudges at edges and corners with no effect on the overall good aesthetics.
