A wonderful piece of art that shows minimum signs of aging.
Polished purple brownish cameo flowers, buds and tendril style foliage, upon a matte yellowish grading to blue matte mauve ground.
Émile Gallé (1846-1904), born in Nancy, France, considered to be one of the major innovators of the French Art Noveau movement.
He was noted for his designs of Art Noveau glass art and Art Noveau furniture, and was a founder of the École de Nancy (Nancy Shcool), a movement of design in the city of Nancy, France.
From unique, hand-blown works to factory-produced pieces, the techniques Gallé pioneered enabled his company to create the most refined glassware on the market.
