The German firm EHO (since 1941, Altissa Camera Werk) was founded in 1927 by Emil Hofert.

It is well known for a long series of box-type cameras and later for the 35mm 'Altix' cameras.

With an advanced and original design, the 'V' version already allows for interchangeable lenses (since 1955).

Its features are fully equivalent to those of other contemporary models from Zeiss Ikon or Voigtländer, although they are more compact than those from other brands.

This is a type 'Altix V' Variant 2, with film advance and counter set via the top wheel.

It has separate shutter winding and release buttons, with italicized front lettering.
