Ukraine - Militaire - Carte postale (6) - 2024-2023

On 26 April 2022, at the Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, representatives of defence ministries from more than 40 countries from the EU, NATO, Africa, the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and the Asia-Pacific region established an international coalition in support of Ukraine and the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence. Over time, the coalition was joined by defence ministers from many other countries. Postage block “Weapons of Victory. World with Ukraine” continues the issue of “Weapons of Victory” 2022 and this time presents the best examples of foreign weapons provided to Ukraine by the members of the international coalition. The stamps of the block depict the following: Challenger 2 (UK) and Leopard 2 (Germany) main battle tanks; Patriot air defence missile system (USA); CAESAR self-propelled artillery system (France); M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle (USA). The issue was created with the support of the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the Embassies of the United States, Great Britain, Germany and France in Ukraine. From the first days of the full-scale war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been using weapons of both domestic and foreign production on the battlefield, which in the hands of Ukrainian soldiers every day brings Ukraine closer to victory. "Vilkha" is a multiple rocket launcher system designed to destroy armoured, lightly armoured and unarmoured vehicles at long distances (Ukraine). "Neptune" is a land-based anti-ship missile system with anti-ship cruise missiles. Designed to destroy warships (Ukraine). On 13.04.2022, "Neptune" missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the russian cruiser "Moscow". "Stugna-P" is a man-portable anti-tank missile system designed to destroy moving and stationary armoured targets (Ukraine). "Bayraktar TB2" – unmanned aerial vehicle with a long flight duration (Turkey). FGM-148 "Javelin" – man-portable anti-tank missile system designed to destroy armoured vehicles, fortifications on the ground, as well as some aircraft (USA). "M142 HIMARS" – High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, which has in its arsenal guided high-precision rockets (USA).
