A beautiful and rare egyptian mummy mask depicting the deceased with a red skin tone, a rounded, triangular, expressive face, thin pursed lips with slight smile, thin aquiline nose, almond shaped eyes and arching brows highlighted in black . Fine mushroom-shaped mask with hairdress with white, green and red stripes. Very beautiful realistic and naturalistic portrait. With methacrylate custom stand. Dimensions: 27,00 x 29,00 cm. Very rare example. Mummy masks were traditionally made from wood or cartonage ( paint, plaster, linen ). This rare example is crafted mixing wood with mud and straw, wich would have been combined and dried as the mould, then parts of the mask would have been modelled to depict its owner and incorporated into the coffin.
