A relatively hard to find in China as bottled and distributed late 2020, China most severe Covid year, targeting the Chinese Lunar New Year 2021. This is a special and limited edition (undisclosed volume and quantity of bottles) designed by the Chinese artist Liu Wei. Purchased at Hennessy in August 2021. When he is not on the banks of the Charente River and Cognac region, Liu Wei lives in Beijing. Graduated of the Chinese Academy of Arts in 1996, he was very early influenced by the dazzling evolution of China over the last twenty years. As part of the Post-sensitive movement, he touches on different universes, from painting to video, from sculpture to digital design. Liu Wei received the Chinese Contemporary Art Prize for the best artist in 2008 and more recently another prize by Art China.
