Description
Pre-Columbian America, La Tolita, approx. 4th cent.
The jaguar is showing its teeth and has strong paws with extended claws and a thick tail. The mouth of the vessel is on top of the animal’s head. Large button-eyes, a wide and bulged mouth with hairs on the sides. Firing holes on the bottom of each foot and the tail.

TL-test certificate no. 02071014, dated October 2014, by the Kotalla laboratory in Germany was made and as been request on copy

Condition:
Good, age-related condition. Small restorations to both ears
Provenance:
Formerly in the collection of Heinz Walter in Munich purchased at the end of 1960. After purchased in auction 24 march 2019.
