A large Ashanti Hair comb, Ghana, known as ‘Duafé’ with an elaborate design on top consisting of two feline figures carved on the first level facing each other; on top of that two Ashanti stools carved out with a heart shape in between them; on top of that a round face carved into a circular window with ‘sankofa’ birds on either side of it and three small windows over them additional decorations adorn the rest of the comb surface and the teeth of the comb are uneven. Je collectionne depuis 25 ans et travaille dans l'art africain depuis 20 ans. J'ai été inspiré par la passion de mon père pour la collection, qui nous a laissé une collection de «colonies allemandes». J'ai étudié l'ethnologie, l'histoire de l'art et le droit comparé à la Freie Universität Berlin sans diplôme. Après de longs voyages à travers le Cameroun, le Mali, la Côte d'Ivoire, le Burkina Faso, le Togo et le Ghana, j'ai vécu à Bamako et Ségou pendant 10 ans. A Ségou j'ai géré la galerie "Tribaloartforum", qui a dû fermer en 2012 à cause de la guerre au Mali.
