Macallan Gold Limited Edition Gift Pack
The Macallan Gold is part of the 1824 range, and was released in 2012. The colour themed range replaced the traditional Macallan distillery's age-statement expressions. Produced in first fill and refill sherry casks, using 9-15 year old spirit, the result is in a smooth and rich single malt.
This limited edition gift pack comes with two glasses etched with the Macallan logo featuring the manor house at the heart of the Macallan Estate.
Nose: Big citrus notes coming through with sherbet lemons and orange peel which then turns into more of a floral sweetness with hints of oak.
Palate: The citrus raises its head again but this time accompanied by warming ginger and cinnamon.
Finish: Sweeter on the finish with barley sugar and an oaky dryness.
