Selmer RSA RL1 Ribbon Microphone, manufactured in the 40s in the UK and completely reconditioned and converted into an active microphone by Ortiz Luthier Microphones, the transformer has been changed for a new Ortiz handmade high quality and low impedance, it has been transformed with an 48v active circuit, brand new ribbon with lower mass, ground cable has been installed, the switch has been disabled, and the original grill has been replaced to avoid excessive frequency filtering, new XLR cable. The sound of the microphone is exceptional really high gain, superior to many condenser microphones so it does not need a high gain preamp, no noise and the frequency range has been greatly improved.
