This awesome circa 1950s, industrial, tanker style office chair was made in Detroit, Michigan by Burroughs Adding Machine Co. It is super well built, heavy duty, comfortable and in pretty good shape considering it is close to 70 years old. The chair features a cast aluminum frame/base with a grey finish and oxblood red leatherette (faux leather) seat cushion and backrest. The base is 18.5" X 18.5" and the seat is adjustable in height from approx. 18" up to 22". The backrest measures 13.5" Wide X 8.5" inches tall and is also adjustable from 8" to 10" inches above the seat. The seat cushion measures 16.5" wide X 15" deep. The chair also features a "lean-back" tension adjustment located under the seat. It rolls on 2" casters. This piece of American made, 1950's quality craftsmanship has lots of life left in it and has a great Machine Age look to boot!
