A first edition copy of this charming collection of twelve songs, written and beautifully illustrated by Cicely Mary Barker with accompanying musical scores by Olive Linnel. "Autumn Songs with music from "Flower Fairies of the Autumn" published by Blackie around 1930. Complete with original unclipped dustwrapper. Collated, complete with twelve tipped in coloured plates. Cicely Mary Barker was a renowned artist who worked proficiently in watercolour, pen and ink, oils, and pastels. She is best known for her illustrations depicting fairies and botanically accurate flowers, that have enchanted both adults and children alike around the world. In the publisher's original cloth binding with paper boards (featuring a coloured image tipped to the front board) and an unclipped original dustwrapper in fair condition with some losses and wear. Inside very good, very light foxing,some pencil scribbles on ffe. Scarce in dust-jacket.
