A big bracket (table console) for a clock, decorated with so called Boulle marquetry, dated to the mid-19th century. Excellent condition! Origin: France, 2nd half of the 19th century, Napoleon III (1848-1870). Rococo style wooden bracket of rectangular shape, with a wavy front and sides decorated with marquetry - precisely cut and engraved brass foliage on the background of red tortoiseshell. Gilt bronze mount on the edge. Dimensions: height - 6 cm; width - 28,6 cm; depth - 15,5 cm. Weight - 1061 g. Conditions report: console in excellent condition, restored in 2022. Minor traces of old restorations. Bronze mount very clean. Marks, scratches and minor dents made by clock's legs on the top plate (hardly visible when the clock is placed on the bracket).
