Intricately hand-carved with meticulous attention to detail, this statue is a testament to the artistry of ancient Japan. Koumokuten, the Protector of the West, stands with a commanding presence, his eyes inlaid with gleaming crystal, reflecting the profound spirituality of the era. Although there is no inscription, it can be assumed that it was made by Kaihatsu Touemon because the construction characteristics are the same. The statue's surface tells a tale of years passed, draped in layers of time-accumulated dust and the undeniable character of historical use. Visible cracks and damage in the lacquer coating and its base, alongside the missing left hand, are testaments to its authentic age and the long-standing veneration it has witnessed. Although there is no inscription, it can be assumed that it was made by Kaihatsu Touemon because the construction characteristics are the same, especially when compared to other Buddha statue with inscriptions. Prospective buyers should note that the condition is as visibly captured in the photographs, and there is a possibility that surface peeling may worsen during shipment, with the chance of parts detaching. Understanding and acceptance of this pre-existing condition is requested prior to purchase. It can be inferred that there is a high probability of surface peeling occurring. Dimensions: approx. H 44 cm W 19 cm D 13 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos. However, due to differences in monitors and device displays, as well as photographic conditions, slight color variations between the photos and the actual product may occur.
