An interesting double vessel with double interior drilled cavities, possibly used as cosmetical container. Preserver translucency and light caramel hue. Alabaster, a light-coloured, calcareous stone quarried from the Iranian Plateau, had strong connections in the ancient world to religion and specifically the gods.
Purchased by the current owner in 2021 in London from an ancient art gallery (C.J.), previously owned before 70's.
