Condition: Good. The first endpaper is loose. Cross stitch binding at the outside, of which the thread at the centre back cover is a bit slack. The bookblock is solid. The binding is clean and the interior virtually flawless, without odour. A magniticent book.

The story is a romance between a traditional Japanese (Hana) and a noble American at the time of the Japanese-Russian war. Well written and easy to read. Also of cultural interest. Gensai Murai wrote the book in English, it is not a translation.
