The Tau is an episcopal chartreuse, i.e. a blend of yellow chartreuse and a touch of green. It was designed as a tribute to the city of Tarragona which hosted the distillery from 1903 to 1989. Produced since 2017 by the Carthusian Monks in Voiron, France, this special edition was created to commemorate the strong historical links that the chartreuse maintains with the city of Tarragona, hence its name.
