The Worthy Park distillery is the oldest in Jamaica. After a long period of inactivity (the entire second half of the 20th century), it reopened its doors in 2005 to once again become a first-class distillery, both in terms of quantity of rum produced and quality, distinguishing itself in particular by a typical marker of a ripe banana.

In 2017, it launched a range of high-end rums, the “Cask Selection Series”.

The rum offered here was distilled in 2012 at 100% in a Charentais “pot still” still. After resting on site for 4 years in an ex-bourbon barrel reused for the first time, it remained for an additional year in a marsala barrel, the famous Sicilian sweet wine. It was finally bottled at cask strength, therefore without reduction.
