Reverse: The reverse depicts Sol Invictus, the unconquered sun god, a symbol of divine protection and victory. Sol is shown riding a quadriga (a four-horse chariot) to the left, holding a globe in his left hand, representing dominion over the world, and a whip in his right hand, symbolizing control and power. The inscription SOLI INVICTO ("To the Unconquered Sun") emphasizes the connection between the emperor and Sol, often seen as a divine protector of the Roman state. In the exergue, the mint mark R (thunderbolt) Γ indicates the coin was struck in Rome, with additional symbols signifying the specific workshop within the mint.
