Yjar is a red wine from the D.O.Ca.Rioja, the personal project of winemaker Telmo Rodriguez (Remelluri) that has managed to break into La Place de Bordeaux, one of the oldest and most prestigious wine markets in the world. This wine was the first Spanish red wine to make it to this market with 800 years of history, where the great bottles produced in Bordeaux are currently sold to merchants from all over the world. However, for the past 20 years there has also been some room in this arena for other wines from others countries, like Baron Philippe de Rothschild's Almaviva, Opus One and Massetto.
