The once-walled, 1.7 hectare (4.2 acre) vineyard is the most southerly of all Givry Premier Cru vineyards, and regarded as one of the better in the region. This may have something to do with the soil as it is one of the more chalky sites in the area.
It lies on southeast-facing slopes just to the southeast of the hamlet of Poncey. Its southern corner marks the point where the commune boundary of Givry meets those of Jambles and Saint-Désert.
