GIANNINO is a 1/1 prototype, i.e. unique in the world, which is part of a series of 4 conceptual lamps designed and created by D'ARK atelier, founded by two Italian designers in Venice and Copenhagen.
The lamp is entirely made in Italy by specialized craftsmen, using purely Italian materials, with the influence of Scandinavian design.
GIANNINO's philosophy is based on the balance between the parts that make up the lamp.
An original fender of a Vespa has been used for the lamp. As the base a wood block treated with YAKISUGI technique (a traditional and very ancient Japanese method of wood preservation, based on burning the wood).
The black burnt wood block is the base that sustains the fender and is penetrated by the bulb.
Assembly of the parts is simple and requires no tools.
