This beautifully handcrafted flower basket from Ehime is made of bamboo and comes with its original wooden box. The piece was recognized at the 21st National Tourism Souvenir Product Competition, winning the prestigious Minister's Award in the Crafts Division. Representing over 300 years of tradition and history in bamboo craftsmanship, this basket is a work from the Taketomo of the Masasho workshop.
The basket bears the artist's signature on its base, and the accompanying wooden box includes the artist's signature and seal. There are some spots on the wooden box, and a strip of wood is chipped and missing on the upper part of the box.
There are also signs of age-related wear, dust, and use. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of its condition.
