【Product details】

This detailed 20th-century full size replica of samurai armor is iron-based, featuring a kabuto (helmet), mempo (face mask) with neck guard, and a do-maru style cuirass adorned with the paulownia crest. The paulownia crest, symbolizing nobility and authority, was famously associated with historical figures like Ashikaga Takauji and Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

This full suit of armor includes protective plates such as tassets, shoulder guards, arm guards, thigh guards, and shin guards. The kabuto's front crest bears the inscription "藩大菩薩" (Han Dai Bosatsu), which refers to a revered protector or deity, symbolizing protection for the wearer in battle. However, two of the decorative chrysanthemum) ornaments and the kuwagata antler pair are missing from the kabuto.

The armor shows natural wear consistent with its age, including scuffs, stains, discoloration, minor fabric tears, fading, and some rust. The kabuto does not fit into the armor box. Please refer to the photos to assess the condition in detail.
