characterized by their different shape and decoration.

These rare bone needles are made in special shapes and with artistic decorations such as bud, hand and ball shapes. In Roman and Greek
everyday life, they served both as hairpins for fixing hairstyles and as garment pins for pinning clothing together.
Signs of wear, these historical pieces are in Impressive condition and are a valuable addition to any collection of ancient artifacts.

Engineer and archaeologist Paul Gaudin (1858-1921) was one of the major patrons of the Louvre Museum, which he donated more than 2,100 artifacts to. The Istanbul Museum and other institutions also owe him a large part of their Asia Minor - especially Smyrna -antique collections.
